iOS 9 and Astropad: What You Need to Know

iOS 9 will be available for download tomorrow (September 16). Astropad works well with iOS 9, unless you have a Wacom stylus; for those of you using a Wacom stylus, we would recommend you wait a bit longer to update. A new version of Astropad, which would solve the problem with the Wacom stylus, is currently pending Apple’s review (the app crashes on launch, ouch!).

What’s the story?

Wacom was very late to update their SDK (that’s the component Astropad uses to talk to a third-party stylus), and we could only submit the bug fix to Apple last week. It usually takes about 10 days for an app to be reviewed by Apple.

How long will I need to wait?

It is always hard to predict Apple’s review time, but we hope to be approved by the end of next week. Keep on eye on our blog for up-to-date information.

What about other awesome iOS 9 features?

Our top Astro dogs are working on it!
